A mala is a set of beads commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. They are sacred and beautiful and can be worn as a necklace or wrapped around your wrist multiple times. Malas are made with 108 beads and a  guru bead. They can be made with fewer beads, such as 18, 27, or 54, which would require the user to make several rotations to complete their full meditation. The number 108 has spiritual significance as it is believed that we have 108 lines of energy in our bodies which converge to form the anahata, or the heart chakra.

This mala is made with 6mm sized matte Black Gold Amazonite beads and a 25x35mm guru stone of the same type of stone. The luxe silky tassel is 3.5" in length and is a mix of blues. Antique gold colored metal beads are placed above and below the guru stone as well as at the quarter marker spots along the mala to help you keep track of where you at during your meditation. It is 21" in length.

Amazonite is used to help soothe the spirit and calm the soul. It tempers aggression and calms the irrational. It provides harmony and balance. It is rejuvenating for the Heart and Throat Chakras and enhances loving communication. It is also associated with the Virgo zodiac sign.
