A mala is a set of beads commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. They are sacred and beautiful and can be worn as a necklace or wrapped around your wrist multiple times. Malas are made with 108 beads and a guru bead. They can be made with fewer beads, such as 18, 27, or 54, which would require the user to make several rotations to complete their full meditation. The number 108 has spiritual significance as it is believed that we have 108 lines of energy in our bodies which converge to form the anahata, or the heart chakra.
This mala is made with 6mm Picture Jasper and Moss Agate beads and a Picture Jasper guru stone carved to look like a leaf. Zinc alloy (antique gold colored) beads are placed at the quarter points along the mala. The 2" silky tassel is a light beige color. It is strung on forest green C-lon thread and hand knotted between each stone.
Picture Jasper gives us the chance to see the bigger picture and move forward with courage and confidence, such as to begin a new business venture without the fear of failure. A stone of creative visualization, Picture Jasper can be an aide in bringing your goals and dreams into reality. It supports the Root and Third Eye chakras as well as Leo and Capricorn zodiac signs.
Moss Agate is strongly connected with nature. It refreshes your soul and enables you to see the beauty around you. It is a stone of wealth and attracts abundance, promotes self-expression and communication. It has been used by midwives to lessen labor pains and ease delivery. It supports the Heart chakra and Virgo zodiac sign.
There are 3 of this design available. Yours may not look exactly like the ones pictured but it will be equal in its beauty and craftmanship.
