  • ELEVATE your vibration
  • CONNECT to community
  • CREATE PEACE - one bead at a time, one breath at a time

Are you interested in learning how to make a mala necklace? Malas have been around for centuries. It is believed to have originated in India in 8th century B.C. Buddhists have used them as a prayer and meditation aid. It can also be a tool for spiritual healing.

A mala is made of 108 beads and traditionally, a knot is tied between each stone. 108 is a sacred number. There are 108 sacred sites in India, there are 108 lines of energy that connect to the heart chakra, the sun's diameter is 108 times the diameter of the Earth, and there are many more ways the number is significant.

Your fee for the workshop includes all the materials you need to make your mala: 108 beads, a guru bead, a tassel, and the stringing material.

We will begin the event with meditation and intention setting. Kristine will then guide you through the steps to make your own mala while everyone enjoys tea and cookies.
