A mala is a set of beads commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. They are sacred and beautiful and can be worn as a necklace or wrapped around your wrist multiple times. Malas are made with 108 beads and a guru bead. They can be made with fewer beads, such as 18, 27, or 54, which would require the user to make several rotations to complete their full meditation. The number 108 has spiritual significance as it is believed that we have 108 lines of energy in our bodies which converge to form the anahata, or the heart chakra.
This mala is made with 6mm Rose Quartz, Mookaite, Sonoran Jasper, and Lepidolite beads. The guru stone is gorgeous Imperial Jasper stone. Copper plated accent beads are next to the guru stone and at the halfway marker. Copper plated heart-shaped metal beads are located at the quarter markers. The mala is strung on nylon thread and is hand knotted between each stone.
Jasper is known as the "supreme nurturer". It sustains and supports during times of stress, bringing a sense of tranquility and wholeness. It helps calm the mind and ease anxiety to provide balance, patience, and peace.
Lepidolite is a soothing stone that will help you if you are feeling anxious, stressed or depressed. It aligns with your higher chakras to calm the mind and open your intuition.
Rose Quartz is a stone of unconditional love and peace. It connects to the Heart Chakra, purifying and opening the heart at all levels to allow for deep inner healing and self-love.
