A malais a set of beads commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. They are sacred and beautiful and can be worn as a necklace or wrapped around your wrist multiple times. Malas are made with 108 beads and a guru bead. They can be made with fewer beads, such as 18, 27, or 54, which would require the user to make several rotations to complete their full meditation. The number 108 has spiritual significance as it is believed that we have 108 lines of energy in our bodies which converge to form the anahata,or the heart chakra.
This mala is made with Amazonite and Picture Jasper beads. The guru bead is a gorgeous Amazonite stone that reminded me of sitting on a sandy beach, looking out at the ocean. Amazonite filters outstresses, healstrauma, and brings soothing energy. It can assist you in speaking your truth clearly and clearing away cluttered thinking. Picture Jasper is used to stimulate creative visualization. It creates harmony, balance and positive energy flow, especially in business pursuits.
The tassel is made with silk thread. The mala is strung on nylon thread and ishand knottedbetween each stone.
***Each mala is made by hand and due to the nature of using natural materials, yours will look slightly different than the one pictured. Rest assured that I will create a mala that is just as gorgeous and original to you.***
